REMINDER TO ALL STUDENT TEAMS - Section 2.2.3 of the IREC Rules and Regulations makes it very clear that IREC Teams should ONLY INCLUDE STUDENTS from the identified University in the application. YOU CANNOT INCLUDE students from multiple universities on your team. All team members must be active students at the identified University.

Hello Rocketeers. The 2026 IREC Application will be made available on our website under the IREC Competition tab on Monday, October 6th. The link will take you directly to the Microsoft Form. Please note the following requirements before you begin the application.

The 18th Annual International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) took place June 9th-14th, 2025, in its new home, Midland, Texas. This year’s event was the largest ever with 172 university teams from around the world accepted to compete. 142 of these teams completed all technical and safety reviews to launch their projects. With over 7,000 students from the USA and 22 other countries participating, it is the largest international university rocket engineering competition in the world. More than 2,000 competitors were in attendance.
