DTEG Updates
ESRA periodically updates the DTEG document. This is typically done at the start of the competition year, but can be updated after that. The document itself takes a while to update, so last year, Jim Jarvis, ESRA Launch Safety Officer, posted a list of the more significant changes as a heads-up to the teams. Jim is doing that again this year, details are as follows.
Results of the 19th Annual International Rocket Engineering Competition
Midland & Saragossa, Texas — July 7, 2026 — The Experimental Sounding Rocket Association (ESRA) is proud to announce the official results of the 19th annual International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC), held June 15–21, 2026 in West Texas. This year’s competition brought together 144 university teams from an initial pool of 196 applicants, representing one of the largest and most diverse fields in IREC history.
