Introducing Liquids at IREC

Attention prospective 2027 Liquid Propulsion teams worldwide: the new IREC 2027 categories are finalized, including Two New Liquid categories—5K Liquids and 10K Liquids. 5K is geared toward reworked or stock-built Half-Cat Sphinx HCR-5100 Liquid Motor class systems, while 10K is for more advanced, larger motor projects. Liquid Lead Rick Wills will lead the program, with Paul Holmes as backup, supported by his own liquid motor experience. Paul will also serve as Lead Launch Manager for both Hybrids and Liquids since these categories will launch side by side using the common oxidizer.

ESRA is excited to add these new categories to the IREC and our staff can’t wait to see your concepts, build plans, and next-generation engineering progress this year.
