IREC COMPETITION FEES
2027 IREC Student Team Fees and Payment Schedule
Student Rocketry Teams participating in the IREC event at Spaceport Midland should expect to pay $1,100 per rocket team and $100 per team member. Late fees will be assessed in accordance with the IREC Integrated Master Schedule, please see the latest version under Documents and Forms.
Payments are divided into three fees defined as follows:
2027 IREC Application/Entry Fee: $400
The Entry Fee is necessary for ESRA to make down payments on facility rentals, equipment rentals, and purchasing of new equipment before the event.
The deadline for payment of Team Entry Fees is December 14, 2026.
Each team's Entry Fee should be paid as soon as possible/practical after being accepted to compete.
THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE
2027 IREC Student Rocket Fee: $700
The Rocket Fee pays for any costs that are not directly related to the number of people at the event.
Each team's Rocket Fee is due on or before April 9, 2027 at 5pm Central Time.
Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $1000.
This fee is refundable up until April 9, 2027. After this date, no refunds will be given.
2027 IREC Rocketeer Fee: $100
The Rocketeer Fee pays for all costs that are directly related to the number of people at the event.
Each participant's Rocketeer Fee is due on or before April 9, 2027 at 5pm Central Time.
Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $150.
THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE, BUT IS TRANSFERABLE.
Student team members are provided IREC items which may include T-Shirts, patches, lanyards, etc. However, due to the size of the competition, it is often difficult to keep track of supplies. Items are provided on a "first-come, first-served" basis during event registration. Please make sure to arrive early.
