IREC COMPETITION FEES

2026 IREC Student Team Fees and Payment Schedule

Student Teams participating in the IREC event at Spaceport Midland should expect to pay $1000 per rocket team and $75 per team member.  Late fees will be assessed in accordance with the ​IREC Integrated Master Schedule.  


Payments are divided into three fees defined as follows:

2026 IREC Application/Entry Fee: $300

  • The Entry Fee is necessary for ESRA to make down payments on facility rentals, equipment rentals, and purchasing of new equipment before the event.

  • The deadline for payment of Team Entry Fees is December 6th, 2025. 

  • Each team's Entry Fee should be paid as soon as possible/practical after being accepted to compete.

  • THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE

2026 IREC Student Rocket Fee: $700

  • The Rocket Fee pays for any costs that are not directly related to the number of people at the event.

  • Each team's Rocket Fee is due on or before April 10th at 5pm Central Time.

  • Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $900.  

  • This fee is refundable up until April 10th. After this date, no refunds will be given.

2026 IREC Rocketeer Fee: $75

  • The Rocketeer Fee pays for all costs that are directly related to the number of people at the event.

  • Each participant's Rocketeer Fee is due on or before April 10th at 5pm Central Time. 

  • Payment after this date will be considered "late", and the fee will increase to $90.  

  • This fee is refundable up until April 10th. After this date, no refunds will be given.

Student team members are provided IREC items which may include T-Shirts, patches, lanyards, etc. However, due to the size of the competition, it is often difficult to keep track of supplies. Items are provided on a "first-come, first-served" basis during event registration. Please make sure to arrive early.
