Best Photo Challenge

JUDGING CRITERIA:

For maximum score, the Judging Criteria are:

• The photo(s) clearly communicate what is happening and why it matters, to viewers of all expertise levels

• The photo(s) will showcase moments, perspectives, or environments associated directly with the 2026 IREC only

• The photo(s) maintain a consistent visual identity and professional presentation

• The team identity is clear and appropriately represented

• The photo(s) avoid profanity or inappropriate content

• The photo(s) reflect the spirit of rocketry, engineering, and teamwork

• The submission is complete and follows all submission requirements

Judging Procedure:

A committee of ESRA Livestream and Media personnel will review all elements of the submissions and determine the winners. The winners will be the Judging Committee’s subjective consensus on which submissions best meet the letter and spirit of the Judging Criteria.

Implementation Rules:

This challenge judges the submitted photographs only. So long as all submission requirements are met, there are no other technical restrictions.

Questions and Feedback:

This is a new challenge and ESRA is learning too. Teams are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback on the Official ESRA Discord.

How to Submit:

ESRA will provide a form on the ESRA website (see below) for teams to upload their photos.

Use the following file naming convention:
Team ### – PHOTO – [Project Name] – 01.jpg
Team ### – PHOTO – [Project Name] – 02.jpg

Captions should be included in a text file:
Team ### – PHOTO CAPTIONS – [Project Name] - 01.txt
Team ### – PHOTO CAPTIONS – [Project Name] - 02.txt

Submission Deadline:

Photos(s) should be submitted as early as possible, but no later than 2359 local time on Sunday, 21 June 2026.

Rights and Usage:

ESRA and Hosting Partner will have non-exclusive rights to all submitted photos.
This means you retain ownership and may continue to use your images, while granting ESRA and its partners permission to use the photos across current and future media platforms, and those mediums that do not yet exist, for promotional and educational purposes.
