Tufts SEDS Rocketry Team #100 from Massachusetts USA

ESRA social media highlighted Tufts SEDS Rocketry Team this past week. Here is what they wrote:

Tuft Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (Tufts SEDS) is a student-led rocketry organization dedicated to building high-performance rockets and growing the next generation of engineers. After rebuilding from the challenges of COVID, the team launched its first rocket in 2022 with just four members, learning through both success and failure.

In 2024, a rapidly growing team competed at IREC and placed 18th in the 10K COTS category, marking a major milestone for the organization. Building on that momentum, the team continues to refine its designs each year, pushing performance through new systems like airbrakes and improved flight optimization. Beyond competition, SEDS is committed to community outreach, inspiring local students through hands-on aerospace education that becomes part of every rocket they fly.

They are excited to push their team to the next level and further their engineering abilities. They are very proud of this rocket and can't wait to return to IREC to see it fly. They are excited to reconnect with teams they have met in previous years and to meet new teams that share the same passion for rocketry. Seeing everyone's competition entry is always exciting and continues to inspire them for future years.
