2026 IREC Sunday Certification Launch and Volunteer Fun-Fly
The first Certification Launch is happening this year on Saturday, 13 June and Sunday, 14 June 2026.
Rocket kits can be bought from Wildman Hobbies. The kit includes:
Journey 75 3” fiberglass kit
Plastic ogive nosecone
Rip stop nylon parachute
Aerotech motor retainer
Limited to first 50 orders
Cost per kit: $250.00
Deadline for placing your order is 29 May 2026
Rocket kits will be picked up and build operations will occur on Saturday morning at the Horseshoe Pavilion in Midland, Texas from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm CT.
Launch and recovery operations will occur at the Spaceport Midland launch site for certification launches (L1, L2, and L3) and volunteer fun flights from 9:00 am to 5:00pm CT. Students attempting L2 certification can take the L2 exam online.
There will be a 30k' waiver, TRA membership is required, and you must pre-register.
2026 IREC Integrated Master Schedule has been Updated
The 2026 Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) has been updated, effective as of 20 March 2026. There are two versions of this update, IMS V1.2 - redlines (a copy of updates added written in red text; deleted text remains, struck through and in blue text) and V1.2 (a clean copy of the schedule with updates). Changes made in the document have been updated on the ESRA Schedule web page. The documents are located on ESRA’s Documents, Forms, and Branding web page, under Documents.
Changes include:
Window for Team Registration Package submissions has changed from 2 March 2026 to 1 April 2026.
Deadline for submission of Progress Report 3 has been moved from 10 April 2026 to 20 May 2026.
Inclusion of information about the Certification Launch.
Deadline Approaching: Contact Flagship Forwarding
If you are shipping your rocket to Midland, Texas using Flagship Forwarding LLC, you must make initial contact to the Shipping Coordinator, including submission of a Shipment Declaration Form with cargo details and team contact details, no later than 1 April 2026.
